The City of Eugene hosted a talented pool of applicants that visited Eugene between March 12 and March 15.
Our goal was to create opportunities for community members to get to know the finalists and for the finalists to get to know our great community. We offered multiple opportunities for community members to engage with this process.
The finalists participated in a Community Forum open to everyone on Tuesday, March 13. The public was then invited to provide feedback about the candidates through March 17. All feedback provided by this deadline was compiled and submitted to the City Manager for review.

A Community Panel took place on the morning of March 13. The purpose of this panel was to offer a broad spectrum of the community the chance to engage with candidates and contribute in the selection of the next Police Chief. The Community Panel offered a selected group of people the opportunity to participate in small group interviews with each candidate.
The City collected Community Panel interest forms through February 28. City Councilors, the Mayor and the City Manager made final panel selections.
