Eugene’s downtown parking garage, the Parcade, was built in 1975. On Friday, January 6th through Sunday January 8th will receive its first full interior cleaning in 40 years. The cleaning will help prolong the life of the structure and improve its appearance.
Parking will be available in the Hult Center Parking Garage on Olive Street on levels 2 and above.
ePark, the City’s Parking Services program, has contracted with Snugs Services and Crystal Cleaning, to power wash the parking deck, and inside walls or the garage. The exterior cleaning was cleaned in November, 2016.
During the interior cleaning, the Parcade will be closed and the garage must be empty.
All vehicles must be removed by 8:00 AM on January 6.
Permit holders can park in the Hult Center Garage on Level 2 or higher.
Any remaining vehicles will be cited a towed.
The garage will be open again by Monday, January 9.
In keeping with the City’s sustainability goals, the process will use high pressure hot water and environmentally friendly solvents. Water runoff will be captured and processed through a custom built filtration system and any residue will be transported by the contractor for disposal.
