Eugene Public Library is committed to ensuring its facilities, materials, and information are fully accessible for all users.
Transportation and Parking
All library facilities meet or exceed ADA standards, including curb cuts, restrooms and elevators. The three library locations are easy to reach by bus.
Parking lots at the Bethel Branch and Sheldon Branch are free for all vehicles, with no time limit. In the Downtown Library’s parking garage, vehicles with a program disability permit may park free for up to three hours, and vehicles with a renewable, temporary, or family disability permit may park free with no time limit. The rules for the Downtown Library’s garage are the same for all City of Eugene parking, in garages or on the street, where the sign or meter allows parking longer than 30 minutes. For more information, contact City of Eugene Parking Services: 541-682-5729.
Adaptive Technology
The library provides adaptive equipment (hearing loop, adjustable tables, braille printer, video relay, etc.) and software (screen magnifiers, reading onscreen text aloud, etc.)
Programs and Events
Most events at the Downtown Library are held in rooms equipped with hearing loop systems that work with your own hearing aids or with loop receivers our staff can provide. An ASL interpreter can be arranged for any library event with two business days' advance reservation by contacting Eugene Public Library by email or by phone: 541-682-5454.
