Luna joined Amazon Community Center as a Recreation Program Assistant in May of 2023. Born and raised in Eugene, Luna started with the City in 2014 as a dance instructor, summer camp staff and childcare provider. With a passion for art, play, silliness and building community, being able to work within Rec has been a dream. While at work, you can find Luna drinking copious amounts of caffeine, hand feeding the park squirrels and making bad jokes. When not at work, you can find Luna taking a million pictures of her two cats, playing video games, being out in nature and spending time with loved ones.
Yareli (sher/her) moved to Eugene to study Early Childhood Education at LCC. Yareli graduated and got the position as preschool assistant on August 2020 and has been in the classroom since then. Yareli has a passion to make preschool and the center a warm and welcome place. Outside of work, you can find her working on a craft at home or going on an adventure with her husband and dog.
Nicole (she/her) comes to the City of Eugene from Southeast Louisiana where she has a background in special education and hospitality. Something she enjoys about working in Recreation is being able to work with and experience the variety of programs that are offered through the community centers. In her time away from work, Nicole can be found baking up a sweet batch of desserts, cooking savory new recipes, taking a day trip to the coast and spending time with her friends, family and her two cats.
