There are two emergency travel assistance programs provided through your benefits package: Frontier MEDEX, offered through The Standard Life Insurance Company, and Assist America, offered through PacificSource.
These are not travel or medical insurance policies, but instead help cover employees and their eligible family members who experience emergencies while traveling more than 100 miles from home.
These comprehensive programs provide information, referral assistance, transportation and evacuation services designed to help you respond to medical care situations and many other emergencies that may arise during travel. They also offer pre-travel assistance.
To access travel assistance, contact the program directly and allow them to make the arrangements for needed services. The programs will not reimburse you for services that you have arranged yourself. The brochures included in the tabs to the left for each program include a wallet card with group numbers and contact phone numbers.
