Along with Lane County and the City of Springfield, the City of Eugene contracts with Greenhill Humane Society SPCA, a local nonprofit 501c3 organization to operate the public animal shelter.
The public animal shelter provides care for stray, abandoned, and neglected animals, reunite owners with their pets, provides medical attention to animals in care, and finds new loving homes for animals. Previously, Greenhill operated the public shelter activities out of 1st Avenue Shelter until recently when Greenhill merged all shelter services to it’s newly renovated facility at 88530 Green Hill Road, Eugene, on July 1, 2019.

Public Shelter Shelter Activities
Greenhill Humane Society is required under contract with the City of Eugene to submit monthly reports on the public shelter and adoption activities. As these are available they will be posted here.
Public Shelter Outcomes
Greenhill Humane Society has created this outcome report that lists outcomes for all animals in the shelter for a particular month. This report is not required under the City of Eugene’s contract with Greenhill Humane Society.
