Four components of ACT:C3

  1. Community Awareness & Training in Compression CPR.
  2. Chest Compressions Oriented 911 Dispatch Instructions.
  3. CardioCerebral Resuscitation Protocols for EMS Responders.
  4. Hospital(s) Registry Participation and Data Analysis.

Why is it needed?

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the number one killer of all adults; nearly 300,000 Americans die annually from SCA. In 2011 only 12 percent of local SCA victims left a hospital without a brain injury. Communities that have instituted the components ACT: C3 focuses on have improved their cardiac survival rate to 37-48 percent, and tripled their prevention of brain injuries.

How can I get involved?

  1. Request Hands-Only CPR training for your group.
  2. Donate to program to provide CPR Anytime Kits for school children.
  3. Perform the 3 Cs of Compression CPR if you witness an adult collapse.
