MoveEug: Active Transportation Strategy Plan
MoveEUG is the City of Eugene's 5-year Strategic Plan to (1) achieve the Transportation System Plan's goal of tripling (from 2014 levels) the percentage of trips made either on foot, by bicycle or by transit by 2035, and (2) become a Platinum Level Bicycle and Walk Friendly Community. Annual reports are released each year to evaluate our success in achieving these goals.

13th Avenue Bikeway
The City of Eugene Transportation 13th Avenue Bikeway project features a two-way protected bike lane on 13th Avenue from Downtown Eugene to Campus (between Lincoln Street and Alder Street). The bikeway provides a dedicated bike connection between Downtown and Campus; improving traffic flow, safety, and comfort.

Central Eugene in Motion
The City of Eugene Transportation Central Eugene in Motion project analyzes Central Eugene's transportation opportunities. The Central Eugene in Motion study focuses on three key areas: Downtown 8th Avenue, Amazon to the Riverfront, and Midtown Willamette Street. The study explores transportation design options to improve travel for people walking, biking, busing, and driving to and through Downtown Eugene.

Franklin Boulevard Transformation
The City of Eugene Transportation Franklin Boulevard Transformation project focuses on improving Franklin Boulevard (Alder Street to I-5). The project will transform the busy road into a multi-modal urban street that makes it easier for people to safely walk, bike, bus, and drive to and through the corridor.

MovingAhead
The MovingAhead project is a partnership between the City of Eugene, Lane Transit District, and other regional partners. MovingAhead focuses on connecting people to jobs, schools, shopping, recreation, and other activities by considering a range of transportation investments along key corridors to improve safety and livability.

RRQZ - Railroad Quiet Zone
The City of Eugene Transportation Railroad Quiet Zone (RRQZ) project establishes a “whistle-free” zone in Downtown Eugene and the Whiteaker neighborhood. The quiet zone will silence the train horns through the heart of Eugene, eliminating 70 percent of the train horn noise. The project design elements prioritize safety and will keep people walking, biking, and driving off the tracks as trains approach. Design elements include medians, quad gates, pedestrian gates, and converting Jefferson Street to a one-way street.

South Willamette Street Improvement Plan
The South Willamette Street Improvement Plan project updates Willamette Street (24th Avenue to 32nd Avenue) into a vibrant urban corridor accessible by bike, foot, car, and bus. The project restripes the street with one travel lane in each direction, a center turn-lane, and bike lanes on both sides of the street. Other design elements include improved sidewalks, driveways, access ramps, and pedestrian-scale street lighting and rain gardens.

SRTS 2020 Enhancement Projects
The City of Eugene Transportation Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Enhancement projects focus on improving the safety of street crossings for children walking and biking to school. Project design elements include dispersed school speed zone flashers, speed readers, and enhanced pedestrian crossings featuring pedestrian islands, curb extensions, and RRFBs.
