Know the Signs

Tragically, many patients have reduced quality of life from unnecessary damage to the heart because they ignore signs & symptoms of heart attack.

A heart attack may begin so slowly or be so mild it can make people doubt what they are experiencing.

If you have any of these Signs or Symptoms call 911 immediately:

  • Chest discomfort; pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain.
  • Upper body discomfort; pain in back, one or both arms, neck, jaw, or stomach.
  • Shortness of breath; before, during or after exertion.
  • Other physical complaints include; cold sweat, nausea, lightheadedness, feeling like you will pass out, fainting.
  • Women are more likely to experience; shortness of breath, nausea & vomiting, back or jaw pain.
