It's that time of year! The Summer Rec Guide is available online, which means you can start exploring through 100-plus pages of exciting camps, classes and trips.
We're proud of what we have planned, and we're so excited to see everyone, but we want to be honest about a few challenges we're facing.
Compared to pre-pandemic levels, Eugene Rec is severely understaffed, especially when it comes to lifeguards and summer camp staff. We hire a large percentage of the temporary and part-time employees at the City of Eugene who help put on all of the fantastic camps and Rec swims throughout the summer. We're doing everything we can to avoid cancelations and long waitlists and we appreciate your patience.
Summer registration opened at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23.
