Diversity and Equity Strategic Plan The Diversity and Equity Strategic Plan (DESP) guides our efforts to ensure that the City organization provides access, removes barriers, and is inclusive of all community members and employees. It provides useful tools that will help us further incorporate our core values into all our work serving the community. Diversity and human rights should no longer be viewed as “programs,” but as core values integrated into the very fiber of the organization. In addition to the overarching, explicit values of access, equity, and human rights, you will see the principles of accountability, collaboration, engagement, innovation, stewardship and sustainability woven throughout the plan’s goals and action items. These are the ideals that we honor – the values that exemplify who we are and who we choose to be as an organization.
