May is Bike Month
City of Eugene Transportation, along with regional partners, hosts May is Bike Month each May. A month of FREE rides, events, classes, and fun, all centered around biking.
Nationally celebrated since 1956, May is Bike Month has been celebrated in Eugene and Springfield since 2014. Bike Month events showcases the many benefits of biking such as enjoying the outdoors, using active transportation options to commute, and encourage new riders to give biking a try. May is STILL Bike Month 2020
Due to COVID-19 policies, we are changing how we celebrate May is Bike Month 2020. We are still encouraging people to get out and ride for fun and exercise (while physical distancing) as well as for essential errands and trips. There will not be any in-person speakers and events, instead we are planning a fun lineup of ONLINE self-guided rides, events, and how-to videos, and we hope you’ll join us.
Breakfast at the Bike Bridges is a monthly event brought to you by City of Eugene Transportation (May-September) that celebrates people walking, biking, and rolling! Leave your car at home, and stop by Breakfast at the Bike Bridges for coffee, bagels, and socializing. Breakfast at the Bike Bridges 2020
Due to COVID-19 policies, the Breakfast at the Bike Bridges summer 2020 events have been postponed. We look forward to continuing this event series when it is safe to do so.
Eugene’s largest party in the streets! Eugene Sunday Streets are free community events that roll into Eugene every summer and are brought to you by City of Eugene Transportation. The events activate Eugene neighborhoods and business districts by opening several miles of car-free streets for people to ride, roll, and walk.
Activity Centers along the route host bike repairs, free helmets and lights, fitness classes, dancing, yoga, slacklining, interactive play areas, live music, food carts, and more.
Eugene Sunday Streets 2020
The tentative date for the summer 2020 Downtown Eugene Sunday Streets is Sunday, September 20, 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 policies, this date is subject to change. Visit Eugene Sunday Streets for details on the next event, and information about sponsoring, volunteering, and participating.
Party in the Parks
Join the free neighborhood celebration of summer with live music, food trucks and fun family activities! Party in the Parks is an event series of five free neighborhood park celebrations throughout Eugene this summer, each offering live music, good eats, fun activities and the opportunity to connect with your neighbors.
