  • Provide resources and education materials for all types of smart transportation
  • Coordinate multiple transportation community events throughout the year
  • Work in neighborhoods to promote safe and responsible transportation habits

Oregon22 & Riverfront Festival

As Eugene welcomes the world in the once-in-a-lifetime global event or the World Track & Field Championships (Oregon22) the City of Eugene is working in tandem to create an event that is the cornerstone of a “never before experienced city celebration,” The Eugene Riverfront Festival at the new Downtown Riverfront Park. Our vision is to celebrate Eugene and Oregon and serve as the primary “experience hub” during the WCH Oregon22.  The Eugene Riverfront Festival is an opportunity for Eugene to welcome visitors and celebrate the diversity of cultures that make up our city.  Learn more on the event page

As part of the Riverfront Festival the City is hosting a “Transportation Hub” with Valet Bike Parking, Bike Share Station, transportation information booths, and a fun interactive space. We are also supporting a “Bike Ambassador” program that will get people out into the community to help people explore and find their way to all the great events happening during the 10 days of Oregon22. Shifts will be 2-4 hours and you’re welcome to sign up for as many days/times as you’d like.
