At this time, we are offering deworming medication, flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm testing and vaccinations with an updated brief physical examination. We are able to facilitate new and renewal licensing for the City of Eugene and Lane County Animal Services. If your pet's license requires special attention, we may not be able to complete it here.
We only provide well-pet services. If you have other concerns that you'd like evaluated or assessed, please contact a full-service veterinarian.
The Community Veterinary Center is low-cost veterinarian that offers some medical services for pets in need of medical attention. Pro-Bone-O offers some medical services for pets of people who are currently unhoused.
Dog and cat spay/neuter surgeries are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please leave a message on our main line. The fee for surgery (see link below) is collected at the time of scheduling. Currently, we are not issuing reduced-cost vouchers to the general public.

Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Office staff will be available to sell parasite control* (fleas, worms, etc.), licenses for the City of Eugene and unincorporated Lane County (with proof of current Rabies vaccination), nail trims (Thursdays only) and/or other services not requiring a veterinarian (heartworm testing, FeLV/FIV testing and Microchipping available as staffing allows).
The veterinarian will NOT be available for any services, including exams and vaccinations during this time.
NEW - Nail Trims $20 - On Thursdays only we will be offering routine nail trims for $20 with proof of pet's current Rabies Vaccination (required for Cats & Dogs)
*Purchase of prescription parasite control requires a current exam, within the past 12 months, at our clinic. To purchase heartworm preventive the pet must have a current exam and heartworm test (at our clinic) and be current on their monthly preventive (purchased from this clinic).
Bringing your pet to the Clinic
New places, people and animals can be stressful for any pet, including pets that otherwise seem calm and friendly. For this reason we require that all pets are kept in a secure carrier (cats and small dogs) or on a short, non-retractable, leash (dogs only), with an appropriately fit collar, (that they’re unable to back out of), while on the Clinic premises. This includes while they are waiting inside your vehicle.
Thank you for your support in keeping all pets safe while visiting the Clinic.
The clinic will be closed the following days
- Friday, November 10, 2023
- Wednesday, November 22, 2023
- Thursday, November 23, 2023
- Friday, November 24, 2023
- Monday, December 25, 2023
- Monday, January 1, 2024
One of the City of Eugene's public safety missions is to control the dog and cat population within the City limits in order to ensure a safe community environment.
The City operates the Spay & Neuter Clinic which provides low cost spays and neuters, vaccinations and flea control products for cats and dogs. The clinic is a successful prevention strategy in helping to control Eugene's overall pet population.
The clinic is unable to provide medical services to sick or injured animals. If your pet needs medical attention, please contact a full-service veterinarian.
For after hours care, please contact an after hours facility.
Springfield – Emergency Veterinary Hospital at (541) 746-0112

Current COVID-19 Information
Our clinic is currently open and providing our full range of services. However, due to the limited space within the clinic and exam room, the building is employees only to protect the health of our staff and customers.
We are currently using a QR code system to allow you to get "in line" from your vehicle so you won’t need to wait outside. There are instructions on sign posts located at each parking spot, (all QR codes are the same), on how to add yourself to our virtual "line" using your cell phone camera. A self-serve iPad kiosk is available at the front table for those who are unable to use the QR code system. Once you have added yourself to the "line", a staff person will contact you by phone to finish getting you checked in.
Please continue to practice physical distancing.
Payment is due at the time of the service. The following forms of payment are accepted:
- Discover Card
- Personal check
