Outside Book Return Hours

  • Downtown Library book returns: open 7 days a week, 5 am to 10 pm.
  • Branch book returns: open each Monday at 10 am and remain open 24 hours a day until they close each Saturday at 6 pm. They remain closed on Sunday and re-open each Monday.
  • All book returns are closed on City holidays, starting at closing time the night before.
  • Borrowed items may be returned to any Eugene Public Library location.

Independence Day - Sat., July 4 Labor Day - Mon., Sept. 7
Veterans Day - Wed., Nov. 11 Thanksgiving Day - Thurs., Nov. 26
Christmas Day - Fri., Dec. 25 New Year's Day 2021 - Fri., Jan. 1
  • The Library is open until 6:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
  • The Library is open regular hours on Easter Sunday, Columbus Day, and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
