Borrowing, Returning and Renewing

Hold requests

Picking up holds

  • Wait 1-3 days after receiving notification. Processing time varies depending on the volume of hold requests we’re handling.
  • Bring the Library card used to place the Hold request.
  • Pick up items on time to avoid a re-shelving fee. Items are held for 8 days.


  • Renew items online, use the automated telephone system, or get staff assistance.
  • Receive an email and/or text message when due dates are approaching.
  • Items on Hold for another borrower cannot be renewed.
  • If an item is already overdue when you renew it, fines will be charged for the time between loans.

  • Return items to any Library location.
  • Items returned within the three day grace period do not accrue fines. More info
