Updated September 26, 2014

For the week of September 28:
  • 13th Avenue W. (Garfield St. to Washington St):  Contractor may be performing corrective repairs and clean-up as needed throughout the project.  Expect lane and parking closures around the work.  For more project information see the Project Information Sheet.
  • 30th Avenue E. (at University St.):  Contractor will continue work near 30th Avenue and University Street.  Expect periodic lane restrictions and sidewalk closures.  Watch for construction traffic.
  • Acorn Park Street (Acorn Park St. CDS to 14th Ave.):  Work begins on the west side of the roadway.  Watch for construction equipment and expect periodic driveway closures and lane restrictions.
  • Amazon Parkway (24th Ave. to 27th Ave.):  Contractor will be completing sidewalk work near 24th Place.  Expect periodic lane restrictions and watch for construction traffic.
  • Broadway E. (Pearl St. to Franklin Blvd.):  Grinding is scheduled for Monday and paving for Tuesday, weather permitting.  Plan to use 8th and 10th avenues to avoid delays.  High Street across Broadway will not be paved but could be impacted for short periods as construction traffic maneuvers between the work on either side of this intersection.
  • Fern Ridge Multi-Use Path (Chambers St. to Hayes St.):  The portion of the path through Garfield Park is closed for an extended period of time to allow trucks and equipment to access the Amazon Creek Stabilization and Enhancement project.  Cyclists and pedestrians are detoured onto 15th Avenue between Chambers and Garfield streets.
  • Goodpasture Island Bridge (Goodpasture Island Rd. and Delta Hwy.):  Bridge deck work will begin to span the Delta Highway.  Nighttime closures of the Delta Highway will be in effect.  Delta Highway north will be closed Tuesday night from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM while southbound Delta Highway will remain open.  Delta Highway southbound will be closed Wednesday, October 1, and Monday, October 6, nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM while northbound Delta Highway will remain open.  Goodpasture Island Road will be reduced to one lane traffic with flaggers on three nights from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.  Excavation for underground piping continues and will create periodic single lane closures during day time hours.  Retaining wall construction continues on the east side of the bridge.  Miscellaneous work will continue in the shoulder areas and embankments.  Travel lanes on the Delta Highway have been shifted to accommodate the work zone.  There is construction speed limit of 45 MPH on the Delta Highway through the construction zone.  Please slow down and use caution.  Please watch out for equipment and trucks entering the roadway.  The Goodpasture Island Road overpass continues to be closed to pedestrians.  Bicyclists should merge into traffic if they feel comfortable doing so.  Please find alternate bicycle/pedestrian routes if possible.
  • Hatton Avenue, Evergreen Drive, Manzana Street:  Contractor will be installing storm water piping and manholes in Hatton Avenue from east of Evergreen to Hatton Avenue.  Watch for construction traffic.
  • Madison Street (6th Ave. to 8th Ave.):  Watch for lane closures as one-way, one-lane traffic will be in effect while reconstruction takes place.
  • Monroe Street (3rd Ave. to 5th Ave.):  Watch for lane closures as one-way, one-lane traffic will be in effect while road work takes place.
  • Olive Street (between 12th Avenue and 13th Avenue): Street and sidewalks are closed due to apartment building construction.  More information can be found at

  • West Eugene EmX Project:  On weeknights, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., motorists can expect lane restrictions at several locations on West 7th Avenue between Garfield and Jefferson streets, and on West 11th Avenue between Commerce and Garfield streets while crews locate and relocate utilities.
