Camp Descriptions

Recreation Services offers a wide variety of summer camps that are fun, interesting, creative, active, and adventurous. Register for all camps online or through any City of Eugene community center or pool. Some camps must be paid in full when you register. For all others, reserve a space with a $25 deposit, then full payment is due three weeks prior to start date. Withdrawals after June 1 forfeit the deposit.

Art Camps at Amazon Community Center Ages 3-5, 5-7 & 8-11

Imagine, play and create! If you like to act, draw, paint, build and  imagine, this is the place to be. Talented arts instructors, educa­tors and recreation leaders bring their special skills and training to offer a fun, safe and creative summer at camp. The camps mix visual, 3D and per­formance arts with games, swimming and  play to keep campers fresh and creative.

 

Youth Camps at Petersen Barn Community Center

Petersen Barn offers a wide range of fun summer camp activities for all ages, including Summer Play Adventures for preschoolers, Soccer Camps for pre-school and elementary aged youth, performance and science camps for middle schoolers, and Culture Jam for older teens.

 

Camps at Sheldon Community Center

Your mission - if you choose to accept it - is to slip, slide, create, design, develop, throw, run, snake, twist, toss, play, learn, swim, visit, discover and engage in the most exciting summer experience ever! Outdoor Camps at Morse Farm Ages 6-11

These are the outdoor camps that everybody loves! Field trips every week to some of the most beautiful and fun places in our state. There is swimming at Amazon Pool and trips to a variety of parks throughout the city. Play, swim and relax outside all day long, rain or shine!

These camps provide the perfect blend of organized activities and supervised unstruc­tured play. Experienced staff make the magic happen in a safe outdoor environment a the historic Wayne Morse Family Farm Park sited on 27 acres of woods and meadows. There is some­thing for everyone at the Farm - arts and crafts, fort building or just plain hanging out. “All green time, no screen time!”

 

Outdoor Camps at River House

Adaptive Recreation Camps at Hilyard Community Center

Adaptive Recreation Camps provide activities for youth with disabilities to develop active, healthy, and playful lifestyles and friendships. Camps include sign language, animal-related activities, outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, and fishing, and community outings.

 

Eugene Police Activities League (EPAL) Ages 8-13
A wide variety of activities will help students develop and build leadership skills. EPAL is part of the National Police Activities League program, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting positive youth development through athletics, recreation and education.
