Bethel Community Park

General Information
Bethel Community Park is a 33-acre park located in northwest Eugene and has a picnic area and performance space available to rent for small gatherings. Bordered by Avalon Avenue, Legacy Street and Haviture Way, the park is also directly south of Meadow View Elementary School off Barger Drive. Natural areas, including a remnant ash woodland, wetland, and open prairie areas, are preserved in the development plan for the park. The park includes a large children’s play area, shaded picnic area with overhead fabric covering, restrooms, sports fields, and a skate park, in addition to landscaping, planting, and wheelchair access.

Park Amenities
Water is available in the restrooms only; there is no electricity available for public use. The picnic structure will seat about 20 people. This area has a fabric shade covering overhead but does not provide protection from the rain. There are two additional picnic tables located within the park, and each may be reserved.
A 2,400-square-foot, semi-circular concrete performance space, which is partially bordered by a grassy knoll, is available for rental. This performance area also serves as a half-court basketball facility, which is available to all during regular park hours.
There are approximately 189 parking spaces at Bethel Community Park, located near the sports fields and skate park.
The main section of the park has park lights.
The Babe Ruth baseball facility is located in Bethel Community Park, and a skate park is located nearby.
There is a tot lot for 2-to-5-year-olds and a playground for 5-to-12-year-olds.
Restrictions
Amplified sound for more than two hours may be permitted with special consideration for performance space rental.
Park Rule 1.007 applies regarding alcohol in parks.
Only chairs with sled-based legs may be used on turf areas.
