Urban Forestry
Welcome to the City of Eugene's urban forestry Program. Urban forestry is responsible for the planting, care and removal of city street trees. Altogether, the eleven urban forestry staff has a combined total of more than 140 years of professional tree experience. Our staff includes seven ISA Certified Arborists.
Did you know that we live in an urban forest? Eugene has more trees than people! Urban forestry's tree professionals care deeply and personally about Eugene's urban forest. You don't become an arborist unless you love trees. The health of the community's trees and the impact of the urban forest on Eugene's residents are the primary concerns of everyone on the urban forestry team.
We hope the information provided in this site deepens your appreciation for the trees that help make Eugene one of the most livable cities in the United States.
