SBCC Intro

Spencer Butte Challenge Course

The Spencer Butte Challenge Course exists to share the values that can be gained from participating in an Experiential – Adventure program. We challenge and empower individuals to learn, grow, and explore solutions to daily life.

The Spencer Butte Challenge Course (SBCC) is a unique community resource accessible near Spencer Butte Park.

We feature 16 Low elements, which are close to the ground, and 10 High elements ranging from 20 to 50 feet in the air, as well as numerous experiential activities that can be done on-site, off-site, in or out-of-doors. Many of the Low and High elements are accessible for people with disabilities and all activities can vary as mentally or physically challenging.

Set your own level of challenge!

Our trained facilitators are committed to the needs of your group and grounded in research and experiential practices. Programs are customized and sequenced to maximize learning opportunities, observe group dynamics, identify objectives, help set achievable goals, and focus on solutions.

Both individually and as a group, people are guided to make connections from the events to their daily lives, so that insights, strategies, and lessons learned in the experience can be transferred and applied to ‘real life.’

Just like setting a goal to the top, you can set a goal for your personal and professional development.
