This summer youth program is for 15- to 18-year-olds, with a driving permit or license.  Students will get hands on training and demonstrations in the following areas:

SWAT
K-9
Youth Law
Driver Training
Defensive Tactics

Cops and Kids - Building a Stronger Community

June 20 -June 24, 2011
8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

This exciting opportunity is offered for youth between the ages of 8- to 13-years-old.  A wide variety of activities will help students develop and build leadership skills.  EPAL is part of the National Police Activities League program, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting positive youth development through athletics, recreation and education.  Camp highlights include:

Ems Baseball Clinic	Challenge Course
Craft Class	The Amazing Mini Race
Internet Safety & Anti-Drug Classes	Nutrition Education

Eugene Safety Town

A Child Accident Prevention Program

July 25 - August 5, 2011
Monday through Friday

9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Sorry, this session is full)
or
12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

The Eugene Police Department in partnership with Eugene Kiwanis Club will be holding the 11th Annual Safety Town Camp!  Safety Town is a two week comprehensive educational program designed to introduce children entering kindergarden in the fall to safety awareness.  This nationally certified and accredited program emphasizes pedestrian and bicycle safety, while also introducing various other safety issues.

*Eugene Residents given first priority for camper spaces.
