Eugene Municipal Court implemented a web based credit card payment system, expanding 24 hour payment access services to customers.
The online system is easy to use. Payment transactions can be completed within a couple minutes. To access the system, the user enters their date of birth along with a summons number, docket number, and in some cases a driver's license number to retrieve account information. Minor traffic, ordinance violations, and adjudicated misdemeanor charges are eligible for online payment. Online payments will not be accepted when the court has taken further action due to non-compliance. Examples of further action include a warrant, license suspension, or external collection status. The system will confirm that the person has charges eligible for payment and provide them with a list of charges and amount owed for each charge. After making a full or partial payment the user will receive a payment confirmation number.
As of May 7, 2010, Eugene Municipal Court's hours of operation for counter services will be Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and phone service hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Effective July 1, 2010, Eugene Municipal Court's hours for processing Violation Bureau reductions by phone will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. only.
