Downtown intersection repairs -- Work continues on a project to rebuild the intersections on Washington and Jefferson streets at 11th, 10th, Broadway and 8th avenues and also repave Washington from 1st to 6th avenues and Jefferson from 1st to 8th avenues. The week of May 20, work will shift to the left lane of 11th from Washington to Jefferson streets. Work also continues on Jefferson Street at 10th Avenue, Broadway and 8th Avenue and on Washington Street from Broadway to 11th Avenue. Expect lane closures on Washington and Jefferson streets. No through traffic will be allowed on 10th Avenue, Broadway and 8th Avenue at Jefferson or on 10th Avenue and Broadway at Washington. Use alternate routes.
Jefferson Street (19th to 28th avenues)and 24th Avenue (Jefferson to Chambers streets) -- Work on Jefferson from 19th to 24th is complete except for permanent striping. Minimal on-site work is anticipated this week for Jefferson from 25th to 28th and for 24th between Jefferson and Chambers streets. Work will resume in early June.
Green Acres Road (Norkenzie to Delta Highway) -- Construction continues on sidewalk access ramps and road “dig outs.” Watch for flaggers and lane/pedestrian detours. Expect construction equipment and occasional brief delays.
Goodpasture Island Road (Kingsley to the new bike bridge) -- Construction starting soon. Watch for flaggers and lane detours and expect occasional brief delays.
Taney Street from Souza to Barger: Repairs will be made to the wastewater collection system Monday through Friday. Expect flaggers, heavy construction equipment, workers in the roadway and brief delays.
Oakmont Way at Coburg Road: New stormwater structures will be constructed Monday through Friday. Expect flaggers, heavy construction equipment, workers in the roadway and brief delays.
Cherry, Walnut, Arcadia and Pioneer Pike streets: Milling (surface grinding) followed by asphalt paving. Work starts May 22 on Cherry Street, May 23 on Walnut Street, May 24 on Arcadia Street, and May 25 on Pioneer Pike.
Olive to Lincoln streets (between 30th and 31st avenues) and Lawrence to Willamette streets (between 34th and 38th avenues): Crews will be working on local street repairs. Lanes should remain open. Watch for equipment and flaggers.
East 19th Avenue at Harris Street -- The westbound lane on East 19th will be closed between Harris and Kincaid streets beginning May 21 for approximately one week as Eugene Public Works Maintenance crews replace a section of deteriorated sidewalk. Use detour routes.
