Dog Parks

Off-leash dog parks were introduced more than a decade ago in Eugene to provide dogs (and their two-legged friends) recreational and social opportunities without leash restrictions. Interest in off-leash dog parks has grown significantly over the years as both pets and owners have realized the benefits of creating parks expressly designed with their needs in mind.

Dogs enjoy free reign and their human companions enjoy the opportunity to network with other dog owners at four off-leash dog parks (see links at right).

Most of the parks offer amenities such as wash down stations, dog waste bag dispensers, drinking fountains for owners and their dogs, benches, and pedestrian nodes, or gathering places where trails or paths intersect.
