You are invited to a preview the new bridge and participate in a dedication event at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the 11th of September.

Mayor Kitty Piercy and other notables will speak briefly, followed by a short "human-powered" parade over the new bridge, which will be open for the weekend. All forms of non-motorized transportation are encouraged to join in the parade, which will be led by Eugene's own One More Time Marching Band.

The dedication is part of a larger community festival being organized by the Valley River Assembly of God, 900 Robin Hood Avenue. "All Paths Lead to the Crossing" will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free, and lots of fun activities are planned.

Following the weekend events, the bridge will be closed temporarily while work is completed on railing and light fixtures.
