Language Addressing Mold Added to Rental Housing Code The City Council amended the rental housing code in May, 2009 to include “the presence of significant visible mold” as a symptom of faulty plumbing or weatherproofing, however did not establish that the presence of mold, by itself, as a violation of the code. Billing Statements will be mailed the week of August 17, 2009 for July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010 Fiscal Year Billing statements for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009 will be mailed the week of August 17, 2009. Payment is due within 30 days of the billing statement date. The late fee policy now provides a total of 60 days from the first billing date before a late is assessed. After 60 days, accounts with unpaid unit fees will be charged a $20 late fee each month thereafter until the unit fees are paid.
