Minor Land Use Code Amendments

Status Update
On October 12, 2009, the City Council unanimously approved the MiCAP ordinance concerning building height in the south University area.  These new building height regulations will go into effect in 30 days.  Click here to view a copy of the signed ordinance. 

The City Council did not take action on the MiCAP ordinance related to parking requirements for multi-family developments west and south of the University.  Instead, the Council approved a motion directing the City Manager to schedule the parking recommendations from the Infill Compatibility Standards Project (ICS) for public hearing and action by the City Council prior to the Council’s winter break.

The Planning Commission public hearing on the ICS parking recommendations (as well as building height and the Jefferson-Westside Special Area Zone) is scheduled for October 20, 2009.  The City Council public hearing on the same items is scheduled for November 16, 2009 with City Council action on December 14, 2009.
