 Beam Redevelopment Project

Location Map of Beam Redevelopment ProjectIn July 2008, Beam development utilized a combination of local funds to support acquisition of the Centre Court and Washburne properties, which are located in the core of downtown, at the intersection of Broadway and Willamette Street.  The second phase of Beam’s project will be rehabilitation of the Centre Court building that will contribute approximately 28,000 square feet of retail below 60,000 square feet of office or hotel uses.  Beam is also developing plans to construct a new building on the vacant lot south of the Centre Court.

Photo of building assessmentBeam Development has been working with its development team to assess the existing Centre Court building conditions.  Project architect, Ankrom Moisan, and general contractor Hyland Construction, have been engaged in an investigation of the structure.  A component of the investigation includes uncovering small sections of the existing building to gauge what remnants of the original building can be preserved or reused in the project.  This work is an initial step that will inform a concept design expected to be completed within the next few months.
