2010 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR NONPROFIT CAPITAL FACILITIES

Nonprofit agencies are invited to submit proposals for use of federal CDBG funds for capital improvements to facilities benefiting low- and moderate-income households.

Those interested should plan to attend an Information Meeting for Applicants at 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 in the Sloat Room of the Atrium Building, 99 W. 10th Avenue, Eugene.

Proposals are due on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, no later than 5:00 p.m.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program Helps Homebuyers Purchase Foreclosed Properties

 

The City of Eugene will use approximately $300,000 in funds from the federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) to help encourage home ownership in areas hardest hit by foreclosures.  The funds are targeted to help low to middle income residents buy and rehabilitate foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight in their communities.
