Planning Internship Program

Planning Division Internship Program

Be part of our team!
The Planning Division Internship Program provides an opportunity to work in a professional planning office at the City of Eugene. The Eugene Planning Division has been working with interns since 1985. We offer competitive internships which are generally unpaid, but have been used for academic credits and general resume building.

The Planning Division for the City of Eugene is comprised of the following work groups: Land Use Planning (current planning), Metro and Community Planning (long range planning) and administration staff. Within these work groups former interns have been involved in a variety of planning related responsibilities and projects, such as public outreach and participation, urban form illustrations, urban growth boundary establishment, the Historic Preservation Program, geographical information systems, natural resources, land use application processing, development of design standards, and land use code updates.
