Summer Parks Concerts Overview_09

Summer Concerts in the Parks

City of Eugene's Summer Concerts 2009Sponsored by the City of Eugene's Library, Recreation & Cultural Services Department

That was fun! Summer in the City, 40 free events in our parks and downtown!

Enriching Your Lives! The City of Eugene is pleased that so many residents enjoyed Summer in the City events that included: 20 free concerts and eight movies in our beautiful parks, and twelve fun events and concerts on Broadway Plaza, downtown, by Satin Love Orchestra, Kidz Rock, Fashionably Urban and Bite of Downtown, and others..

The new additions this year were very popular, including the events series downtown at Broadway Plaza at 7th & Willamette, music at the

Farmers’ Markets on Tuesdays on the Park Blocks, youth performers at selected Concerts in the Parks and free bike valet parking for the concert at Maurie Jacobs Park.

More than 9,000 adults and children enjoyed the Summer Concerts in the Parks series, the Washburne Park concert series and downtown events. Numerous partners and sponsors helped make these events happen. Thanks Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Northwest, Pacific Winds Music, Saturday Market, The Lesson Factory, Downtown Eugene Inc./Chamber of Commerce, Travel Lane County, Cindy Ingram Booking & Promotions, Ninkasi Brewery, KOOL 99.1 and KDUK radio stations, and Eugene Celebration Presents!

Stay tuned for the next summer – City staff is working on a fun 2010 already! Working to enrich your life!
