The City of Eugene is offering a variety of Spring Break Camps featuring art, sports, fun and adventure, for ages 3-18. Some camps offer extended care. Here's what's on tap:· “F.A.M.E.” (For All Multitalented Exhibitionists) – youth 14-18 years. 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Location: TBD. Campers will work with professional artists in workshops on writing, dance, drama, vocals, and visual arts during the day and watch or participate in performances in the evening. No previous experience required. The camp culminates in a showcase performance at the Hult Center. $300.
· “Art on the Amazon” Camps – kids 6-11 years. 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Amazon Community Center. At Monsters. Etc., kids will draw their favorite weird comic and build a giant monster. At Spring Sprites-Skate World, kids start with magical play, make fairy wings, wizard hats and magic wands. $130.
· Sports Camps: o Tots Soccer Academy – ages 3-5. 9-10 a.m. Petersen Barn Community Center. $40 o Soccer Camp – ages 6-8. 10:30 a.m.-Noon. Petersen Barn Community Center. $45 o Gymnastics Camp – ages 6-11. 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Amazon Community Center. $110. |
