Measure 20-145 proposes $35.9 million in general obligation bonds to fix city streets.  If this measure is approved, the City will use bond proceeds to fix approximately 70 lane miles of streets and 3 miles of off-street bike and pedestrian paths.  The informational publication lists the streets that would be fixed, along with a map showing the location of the streets.  It also includes additional requirements of the measure and provides the estimated tax rate and impact to an average Eugene homeowner.

Measure 20-146 proposes to amend the Eugene Charter to require the Eugene City Council to hire an independent police auditor, appoint a review board and grant to the police auditor and review board the authority and duties related to complaints involving police employees.  The City Charter currently allows, but does not require, these actions.

This publication will be mailed to all Eugene households by mid-October, and printed copies will be available at the Eugene Public Library, the Permit and Information Center and other City of Eugene public service counters.  More information about street repairs can be found at www.eugene-or.gov/streets.  For more information about the election, visit the City Recorder's Office online.
