Eugene Opera Brings Faust Back to the Hult

Faust posterExperience the power of the world's most popular French romantic grand opera. Presented by Eugene Opera, Faust returns to Eugene for the first time in 25 years in performances March 12 and 14.

Eugene Opera's production, directed by General Director Mark Beudert, has a cast that reads like a "Who's Who" of young international stars. It features Scott Ramsay (fresh from his appearance opposite superstar Natalie Dessay at the Lyric Opera of Chicago) and Christina Pier, hailed as a "young singer of great potential" by Opera News in last season's Don Giovanni. Joining them will be Metropolitan Opera baritone Aaron St. Clair Nicholson as Valentin and Seattle Opera's Elizabeth Pojanowski as Siebel. Dominating all will be the Mephistopheles of Steven Gallop from London's Royal Opera House, Vienna's Volksopera and Opera Australia.

The perfomance is approximately two hours & thirty minutes, including intermission.

Performances are in the Silva Concert hall on Friday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 14, at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $21-$80; student & youth discounts available  Buy Tickets Online
