On Friday, July 11, Brad Malsin and Pete Eggspuehler of Beam Development were in Eugene to finalize the property transactions to take ownership of the Centre Court building, the adjacent vacant lot, and the Washburne Building. Mayor Piercy, City Councilors and other downtown residents and business people joined the Beam representatives to announce the initiation of the redevelopment project. Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2009 and be completed by the summer and fall of 2010.
