Ted LeesonTed Leeson has been fishing almost as long as he’s been walking. A widely-respected source of practical information on that topic, he is a great lover of the natural world as expressed in his essays, prose poetry, and occasional rants. He’s regularly published in national magazines; his essay collections include “The Habit of Rivers,” “Jerusalem Creek,” and most recently, “Inventing Montana.” Leeson teaches in the English Department at Oregon State University.John Larison

John Larison, once a student of Leeson’s, is also inspired by fish and their waters. His nonfiction includes articles on fly fishing and the book “The Complete Steelheader.” Larison’s debut novel, “Northwest of Normal,” takes place in contemporary western Oregon, where an invented river, the Ipsyniho, runs through his characters’ lives. Larison teaches writing at Oregon State University.

The Windfall Reading Series is sponsored by Eugene Public Library, Lane Literary Guild, Friends of the Library, the Eugene Public Library Foundation, and the Lane Arts Council with support from the City of Eugene Cultural Services Division.
