Eric Kleinman of the Oregon Department of Consumer Services gives easy-to-understand explanations of investment strategies for beginners, including evaluating stocks, bonds, mutual funds and government securities, and starting a retirement account or college fund. You'll also learn the questions to ask potential investment advisors or brokers, and how to avoid investment fraud.

Protect Yourself from Identify Theft

Saturday, August 13, 3:00 - 5:00, Downtown

Knowledge is power! Francis Powell of the City of Eugene Police Department explains what identify theft is and the practical steps you can take to prevent it. Plus, information about what to do if you find yourself a victim of identify theft or consumer fraud, how to clear your record, and where to go for help.
