Eugene's Community Vision and 20-year plan for managing growth
Envision Eugene is moving into the plan drafting phase! Earlier this summer, the City Council approved a recommendation to establish a Eugene-only urban growth boundary (UGB). Planning staff, with the help of City committees, boards, and commissions, are preparing an adoption package that establishes a UGB for population and job growth from 2012-2032, based on the data and analysis gathered and vetted through the Envision Eugene project that began in 2010. The formal UGB adoption process, including public hearings before Eugene and Lane County, will begin in early 2016.
The UGB adoption is a part of the larger Envision Eugene Plan. Working drafts of plan sections reviewed by the Planning Commission are linked below. A full preliminary draft of the Envision Eugene Plan, including the Community Vision, Comprehensive Plan, Urban Form Plan, and Action Plan, will be available for public review and comment in late October. As working drafts of sections become available, they can be found below.
