LOST PETS WITH A LICENSE GET HOME FASTER
LICENSING REVENUE HELPS PROVIDE SERVICES TO EUGENE'S LOST, HURT AND NEGLECTED ANIMALS
All dogs that have a permenant set of canine teeth or have reached the age of six months are required to be licensed.
On July 1, 2012 the City of Eugene took over licensing responsibilities for Eugene dogs from Lane County. All dogs in the City of Eugene in need of a new license will be issued their license through the City of Eugene's licensing partner PetData, and those licenses will be a City of Eugene license. Old Lane County licenses on dogs residing in Eugene will remain valid for the term of the license. All former county licenses for dogs in the City of Eugene that expired after July 1, 2012 will be renewed through the City of Eugene and they will now be given City of Eugene licenses.
