Rebecca Kathleen Reid

Synopsis

Rebecca Reid was kidnapped at about 1:00 a.m. on January 27th, 1997 from a convenience store where she was the lone clerk. It appears robbery was a motive. A customer interrupted the suspect and Rebecca was forced into the suspect's vehicle and driven away. There have been no confirmed sightings of Rebecca Reid since her kidnapping.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance as they continue their investigation into this case.

The Victim

Rebecca Kathleen Reid, 12-17-59, white female, 5'-2", 120 lbs., brown eyes, brown straight hair below the ears, gold wire rim glasses, last seen wearing a turquoise pull-over sweater, blue jeans, newer white and blue tennis shoes.

The Suspect

White male, late 20's to early 30's, 5'-9", 165-185 lbs., brown shoulder length straight hair, moustache with stubble, last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, white short sleeve shirt with collar, blue jeans.

The Suspect Vehicle

Early 70's to early 80's compact pick-up truck, white or very light colored with a horizontal blue stripe about eight inches wide running the length of the driver's side at height even with top of bed. The pick-up may have a white canopy about cab high covering the bed.

Reward for information

A $15,000 reward is being offered for the safe return of Rebecca Reid and for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her abduction.
