Search -- Community Information Guide on Residents page

In addition to providing links to the numerous resources available to citizens, the Residents page allows you to search a large community resource database with the Community Information Guide.

The Guide offers descriptions of services and how to make connections with a resource.

1 On the Residents page, type your search words in the Keyword Search box.

Quotation marks – Use quotes to search for a specific word or phrase. Quotation marks limit the search to the exact phrase between the quotes. This most likely will narrow your search results and make it easier to find what you are looking for.

Currently (August, 2007), this search finds two resources:

No quotation marks – If you use more than one word, without quotation marks, the search returns all descriptions that contain any (one or more) of the words.

Where are Keywords found? – Search looks for words in both Service Description and the Keywords list entered for a Provider. Thus, the word or phrase you type may not appear in the Service Description but only in the Provide Keywords section.

2 In the Limit Search to list, accept ALL, or click the name of a government agency or other group.

Note With ALL, the search looks at the entire resource database. Searching with just one agency or group limits the search results to that agency or group.
