Tips for the Search tab......
The Land Use map displays locations related to land use applications, with the maps organized by stages that occur in the application process.
View details about displaying the maps
You can find the maps from several access points. Do any of the following:
On the City Home page, in the Frequently Requested Services section, in the How Do I ? list, click Get Involved in My Neighborhood?
Click the Find
Land Use Applications link.
On the City Home page, in the City Quick Links list, click Planning and Development.
On the Planning
and Development page, point to Planning,
then to Land Use Applications,
then click Land Use Application Database.
In the Site Search
box at the top of most Eugene Web pages, type land use and
click Search.
On the Search
Results page, click Land Use Application
Database. (Currently 
On the Land Use applications
search page, click one of the Search
buttons at the bottom of the page.
Note Only these searches at the bottom of the search page display the Land Use Application maps.

Application Locations
The blue symbols indicate the location for the land use applications listed on the Search Results tab.
Click a symbol to display the address and a link to information about the application.

When
you click the address . .

. . . the map refreshes the view, most often to give you a closer look
at the location.
When you click the applications
File Number . . .

. . . the program displays details about the application on the detail
tab:

When necessary, click a tool to use it. The red outline indicates which tool is selected. In this picture of the tools, Zoom In is selected. In that case, there's no need to click the Zoom In tool to use it with the map. Note
The tools do not work if the pointer is pointing
at a location marker symbol.

Zoom In
Click the center of the area on the map where you want to look closer.
Drag to create a rectangle around the area you want to zoom to. View example

Tips
Repeat the action (drag, or click the map) to zoom in closer.
Street Names At the default fullest extent (click Reload to view the default), if you click twice with the Zoom In tool selected, the map displays street names.
At
times, the blue location markers may display on top of each other. Use
Zoom In to separate the symbols enough so you can click the symbols and
display addresses
and links.

Zoom Out
After you click Zoom Out, click, or drag, an area of the map.

Pan
Press and hold the mouse button while you drag the mouse pointer.

Search Tab Tips
Use one search line or section at a time.
For the Specific Land Use Application Search, enter search criteria on one line only and click the adjacent Search button. The program responds to the Search button for one line only. The program looks for search criteria on the line with the Search button you click, and ignores search entries on other lines.

Name
Use either of the following to search:
Start
your search entry with the first characters of an Application
Name. For example, to search for names that start with Willamette,
if you type Will
the program returns results that start the Application Name with Willagillespie,
Willakenzie, Willamette,
Willcox, Williams
and Willow.

Use a percent sign ( % ) as a "wild card" to begin your search string.
For example, a search with glass returns no results (in May, 2008).
However, if you type %glass the search
returns names that include glass

Browser Settings
With Microsoft Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
In the Browsing history section, click Settings.
In the Temporary Internet Files section, ensure that Every time I visit the webpage is selected.
Navigation Tip
To move from tab to tab, click the text characters on the tab, rather than in the blank space between the tab edges and the text.
