Site
Map

In this example below from the Site
Map page, links show how a Parks
and Maps page is organized under a main Parks
and Open Space page. The Parks
and Maps page offers links to regions of Eugene (for example, the
Bethel / Danebo area as seen in
the picture below). The Bethel / Danebo
page includes links to specific parks (for example, Bethel
Community and Candlelight
parks).

When the Site Map first displays,
the program expands the list of page links down one level:

Navigation and Organization
Many pages display organizing and navigation elements at the top of the page. Those elements include:
The name of the page (Planning and Development in the picture below)
The hierarchy of pages within the site structure. In the picture, the Planning and Development page is one level below the City Home page.
Entries on the
You are here line are links. Click
a link on the line to display that page.

Some levels have one or
more additional lower levels. In the picture below, six "Sub
Levels" occur beneath the main Planning
and Development level: Building
Permit Services, Planning,
Community Development, and three
more. The
symbol indicates a sub level.

Sub levels relate to at least their own page, and often relate directly to additional pages (and sometimes further sub levels).
When you point to a sub level, a menu displays with related pages and perhaps additional sub levels. Click the Planning line in the picture below to see this effect, and more explanation. Then click the Planning line again to continue.

The
picture below displays a broader view of the Planning
and Development page. It shows four levels:
The highest, City
Home level
The second, Planning
and Development level
The sub levels below Planning
and Development. One of those six sub levels is Planning.
The sub levels beneath Planning

After you point to Planning, and then point to Historic
Preservation (which is a sub level below Planning),
another menu displays that lists the pages that relate to the Historic
Preservation sub level. In this example, when the pointer clicks
Historic Review Board, the Historic Review Board page displays:

The Planning
page lists both the links to the pages related to Planning
(under Navigation - Current Level),
and its own sub levels (under Navigation
- Sub Levels). Note how the You
are here line shows the top three levels:

The top of every page contains
links to pages where you can find more information and links. Click one
of those links at the top, or click a link on the menus that display:

The Residents
page includes a search of the Community
Information Guide. See Search
The Services
page includes a list of links you can search to find City services. See
