Search for an Address

1  On the Search tab, type either a full or partial address and click Find.

2  On the Search Results tab, click an address. The program:

Important  The more complete the address you enter, the more the program narrows your search and the more likely it will list the address. More?

A search can return only up to 50 addresses at one time. When you search with a partial address (for example,  Willamette  instead of  800 Willamette ), the search may find more than 50 matches. The address you are looking for may not appear in that list of 50 returned addresses.

Street Name  –  The search uses the beginning characters of a street name. In a search for a street in the Downtown Plan area (Broadway),  broad  finds the first 50 addresses that begin with Broad.

Map Tools

When you select a location or address the program generally adjusts the map display. Often, for example, the program automatically "zooms in" to display a location close-up and centered on the map.

However, you can also use the map tools described below to adjust the map display yourself.

When necessary, click a tool to use it. The red outline indicates which tool is selected. In the picture of the tools below, Zoom In is selected. In that case, there's no need to click the Zoom In symbol to use it with the map.
