Leaves placed in bike lanes are hazardous to bicyclists. Safety first. Keep bike lanes clear! Property owners who put leaves in bike lanes are liable for damages or injuries. Don’t put leaves in the street until the weekend before scheduled collection in your area. If leaves are blocking the gutter or clogging storm drains, rake them clear to prevent flooding.
