Thursday, September 27

An illustrated talk about the state's folklore, history, songs, and superstitions with author Tom Nash.

In celebration of Eugene@150, take an illustrated trip through the cultural heritage of Oregon. Enjoy folklore, history, legends, myths, songs, superstitions, and tales from the state’s six geographic regions and diverse populations.

Presenter Tom Nash is a professor emeritus at Southern Oregon University where he has taught linguistics and folklore for nearly 30 years.  For the past 15 years, he has traveled the state lecturing for the Oregon Council for the Humanities. Nash is the author of three books, including “The Well-Traveled Casket: A Collection of Oregon Folklife.”
